Come down to the beautiful Goulburn Historic Waterworks for a jam-packed Australia Day!
The day begins with a free BBQ breakfast at Rotary Park, Marsden Weir from 7.30am - 9.00am. From 9.00am to 5.00pm there will be a great range of food and market stalls to explore, including the return of the Aboriginal Arts and Culture Expo, plus the legends at Walking on Water will be hosting water activities on the Wollondilly River, including pedalo boats, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and pontoon battles! Bookings can be made on the day from the Australia Day marquee.
The official ceremony will commence at 10 am with a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and First Nation dancers. The ceremony will also include the Ambassador Address by Ellen Ryan, Local Citizen, Young Citizen, and Event of the Year awards and the inaugural Junior and Senior Sportsperson of the Year, along with the Citizenship Ceremony. This will be followed by live music from 12.00pm – 4.00pm.
Other highlights will include Food and Market stalls, Helloworld Trivia, First Nations Workshops, trackless train rides, face painting and more!
Goulburn's Australia Day Celebrations are open to all in our community and beyond. There is no pre-registration needed, and all activities on the day are free of charge. There will also be a shuttle buses from Victoria Park (Faithful St, near Seiffert Oval entry) to the Waterworks between 9.00am -4.00pm.
