The Federation Council's Australia Day Awards and Community Celebration will be held at the Urana Aquatic Centre and community facility.
It will commence at 9am with the official ceremony announcing the Federation Council Citizen of the Year, Community Project and Event of the Year, and the recognition of the Federation Council Local Achievers. The official formalities also include a Welcome to Country, pre-recorded Ambassador address, School Achiever Awards, and Australian citizenship ceremony.
Live music and a BBQ provided by the Urana Aquatic Centre committee will also be available on the day.
For COVID safety reasons and in line with NSW Health restrictions, guests wishing to attend the Australia event need to pre-register beforehand. If you do not have access to the internet, please head to your closest Council office or library to pre-register.
Please ensure you have your event ticket with you for check-in purposes on the day of the event. Electronic device tickets are preferred. Council offices are able to print hard copies of your ticket if you are unable to do so or unable to bring an electronic device.
The event will be live screened via the council's YouTube channel.
This event is delivered by the Federation Council.
