Becoming an Australian citizen on the nation’s special day was a unique honour and privilege.
The Citizenship Ceremony saw a select group of new migrants pledge their loyalty to community and country in front of family and friends at Government House on 26 January.
The journeys and personal stories of these new Australians reminded everyone of the values and beliefs that underpin Australia Day and the nation’s identity, including freedom, respect, fairness, equality of opportunity, diversity, and inclusion.
This event was invite-only and not open to the general public.
